1. Was away for an overseas trip for about 2 months. Sure I had fun.

2. The very next day I returned I bought an iMac, the one I wrote about in my previous post. Last few weeks I have been busy tweaking it, creating cards, organizing music and photos, creating dvds and enjoying all an iMac has to offer. This is probably one of the best investments I have made in the recent past.

iMacCall it my ignorance (and please pardon it), I was not aware that Apple is releasing Mac OS X’s next version Leopard when I went to buy it. Surely I was disappointed when I learned that Leopard will be released in another two weeks time, needless to say I had Tiger on my iMac.

I called up Apple support when I realized what an absolute sin I had committed and was delighted to hear from one of the ‘friendly’ csr’s that Apple is offering Mac os X v10.5 Leopard installs to all the qualifying Macintosh computers purchased between 1st October 2007 and 29th December 2007 at a nominal cost of AUD$12.95 (shipping and handling charges). Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Here is the link to the order form,,,just in case.

It has happened twice in last 2 days that connex has had to either delay (8th June, Lilydale bound 11:38PM train delayed by 12 minutes) or cancel (9th June, Hurstbridge bound 11:48PM train) services running from Flinders St railway station because of the sudden discovery of mess created by vandals on the trains.

One can not help but wonder if it is actually the vandals or Connex trying to feed the passengers a bowl of hot soup full of silly excuses on chilly nights (7°C).

A perfect example of going THAT extra mile for customer service.

China Town China Town
The Chinese celebrate their New Year today and I thought it would be a good idea to have a dekho at the way Chinese people celebrate it.

There were a few stalls in Russel Street serving some delicious Chinese food and they had set up two stages where the artists were presenting some folk dance and songs. Although they made little sense to me, I think I might have enjoyed more if I knew a bit of the language.

Anyways, it was a colorful celebration with a little musical parade doing rounds and I thought it is never a bad idea to click a few pictures and post them here.
