There is a sad news for all the cricket fans in Australia as none of the free-to-air channels will be airing all the world cup matches. Channel 9 will only be airing SOME of the matches which are as per the schedule given below:

30/03/2007 Super Eights D1 v C2 11.45pm
31/03/2007 Super Eights A1 v B2 11.45pm
8/04/2007 Super Eights A1 v C2 11.45pm
13/04/2007 Super Eights A1 v D1 11.45pm
14/04/2007 Super Eights A2 v C1 11.45pm
16/04/2007 Super Eights A1 v B1 11.45pm
20/04/2007 Super Eights A1 v C1 11.45pm
25/04/2007 Semi-final 1 2nd v 3rd 12.45am
28/04/2007 Final SF 1 v SF 2 11.45pm

ABC radio will broadcast live commentary for all the Australia matches (except match 10 on the 18th of March) and the semifinals and the final. For the ones with a little deeper pockets, they can enjoy all the matches on FOX 1,2 and 3.

Poor world cup coverage I must say.

MCG Ticket

I just could not let the opportunity of watching the Australia-England first final pass by and that too at the MCG. So when I got the chance, I grabbed it with both my hands.

The game stretched to the very last over, as everybody knows, and had a nail biting finish which only made my experience at MCG more memorable.

Sachin Tendulkar scored his 41st ton today in the 4th ODI against the West Indians and that too using as many as 76 balls. What a way to silence the critics.

Moreover, for all those idiots asking Tendulkar to hang his shoes up and call it a day on his cricketing career, he is one of the leading run getters in 2006 with an average of 36.something (the highest among the Indian batsmen).

Way to go Master, keep the good work up!!

India defeated West Indies in a low scoring match today and it is all set for the do and die match against Australia this coming friday to book a place for the final. It is going to be one hell of a friday night.

As it turned out, not even a single game could be finished between India and Sri Lanka due to rain, after the Proteas withdrew from the Unitech Cup in August because of security concerns, reducing the tri-series to bi-series.
I hope all goes well this time in DLF Cup tri-series where India takes on Australia and West Indies. Good news is all the matches will be broadcast here in Australia as Australia is one of the teams participating.
Hip-hip hurray !!
