I was ecstatic this morning to find an email in my uni inbox from the Thesis coordinator stating that my Thesis titled ‘A New Architecture For Conflict-Free Firewall Provisioning’ has been accepted. All the hard work, frustration, anger and the mix of all kinds of emotions that I went through during the duration of last one year has been duly rewarded.
With the acceptance of the Thesis by the School, I have passed Masters of Applied Science (IT), Major - Computer Security. Calls for a toast, ready for a big night ahead !!
Last evening, I got a chance to train with the ‘Dandenong West Cricket Club’ players at Hallam. I did get my share of arm rolling and batting a bit and I was surprised at myself for not having gone too bad at cricket despite the fact that I have not played cricket since my last semester of graduation in 2004. All the players at the club, I must admit, were quite friendly and true professionals.
As enjoyable was the cricket training session last evening, some kind of strange pain in all the possible joints of my body this morning is equally pleasurable.
After having tried my hands at cleaning, kitchen hand and what not, I finally bagged a casual job at RMIT where by I will be lab assisting two subjects - Network Security and Advanced Client/Server Architecture. I am quite excited about this change and am looking forward to it. Foot in the door…finally !!
